Many of our older patients have asked us this question: How old is too old? And while every case is different, we’re happy to tell you that most individuals who want to have plastic surgery can do so, barring any health conditions that may preclude it. To learn more, please contact The Weston Center for Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery at (954) 526-0066 to schedule your consultation with our Miami plastic surgeon.

All of our plastic surgeries are customized for the individual, and if you have clearly identifiable, realistic cosmetic goals, you can probably undergo plastic surgery if you so wish. In fact, seniors frequently come to us seeking help for age-related conditions. Patients who suffer from drooping eyelids that interfere with their vision are often excellent candidates for a brow lift procedure. And patients who have suffered from skin cancer also seek reconstructive surgery following removal of the cancerous tissue.

Some disqualifying factors that are common with seniors include health conditions and medications that might interfere with one’s ability to heal after surgery. For example, patients who take blood thinners for cardiovascular health generally need to stop taking these medications for a period of time before and after surgery to promote healing. This is something you may wish to discuss with your primary care physician. We are happy to discuss your concerns with you and with your general practitioner as well.

Are you ready to learn more about cosmetic surgery? If so, please contact The Weston Center for Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery today at (954) 526-0066 to arrange an appointment with our Miami plastic surgeon.
