A facial injectable is a substance that is injected beneath the skin to fill out wrinkles and deliver a firmer, more youthful appearance. Injectables we offer include:
- Juvederm® XC is based on hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in and naturally absorbed by the body. Juvederm®’s secret is that the acid is cross-linked, which causes the body to reabsorb the gel much more slowly than it otherwise would.
- Sculptra is a unique filler that actually stimulates your body to produce more of its own natural collagen. It is most commonly used in smile lines, but Dr. Harrell has also had success using it in the cheeks.
- Radiesse® is a mixture of calcium hydroxyapatite and colloid. The calcium immediately fills the area upon injection, which attracts collagen to the site and creates a fuller appearance.
